There is a clear difference between the buildings that are put in focus in this image and the buildings in surrounding areas. The Business Centre has many large buildings built in similar fashion suggesting that at the time the sector was thriving or had just gone through a period of large growth. This speaks to the great changes we have talked about during the Meiji Restoration in which there were many technological advancements and cultural changes. Additionally, the buildings look to be generally Western style architecture, which demonstrates the influence that Western society had on Japan during the Meiji Restoration.
