Although the photograph is small and in black and white, it is still possible to make out, with some degree of certainty, some of the flags. The ones somewhat discernible from left to right on the bottom are Switzerland, France, Italy, Japan, Sweden or Denmark, and Monaco. Above them but still hung off the edifice of the building are what appears to be the flags of Chile, Poland, Belgium, and Spain. At the very top are the flags of the United States of America, Great Britain, and probably another Japanese flag but it is difficult to tell. Even if my flag guesses are imperfect, it is abundantly clear that this department store has gone to great lengths to include the flags of numerous countries from all over the world so that current visitors feel welcome and those receiving the postcard would be inspired to come and visit.
